POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Process Improvement Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing efficiency, quality, and productivity within ourbusinessprocesses.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process Analysis:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current processes.
    • Assemble, create and maintain detailed process maps.
    • Conduct a gap analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes.
    • Use data analysis to identify trends and patterns.
    • Build cross-functional teams to address end-to-end comprehensive analyses to ensure any potential upstream/downstream impacts are accounted for.
    • Develop TAS process-map standard.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Working with department stakeholders, develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
    • Create work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
    • Assist in the implementation of an employee driven, enterprise-wide Process Improvement program.
  • Training:
    • Develop training modules and materials tailored to specific processes.
    • Conduct interactive training sessions and workshops.
    • Identify and train SMEs in each functional unit to assist in implementation of change and ensure steady flow of incoming improvement suggestions.
    • Assess employee performance and provide feedback to management based on observations. Develop recommended training curriculums as needed for each department.
    • Update training materials based on process changes or improvements.
    • Maintain records of training activities and employee progress

Monitoring and Metrics:

  • Monitor the impact of process changes.
  • Facilitate process improvement workshops.
  • Assist in developing metrics and dashboards.
  • Any other duties assigned by TAS

JOB SKILLS:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Change management expertise with the ability to lead and influence others.

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience in process improvement, business process reengineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TQM.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Familiarity with process automation and technology solutions is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Position is at least 80% to 95% at a desk working with computer. Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.Performs other physical activities including use of fingers, sitting, stooping, bending, crouching, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions.Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision necessary to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and conduct extensive reading.The incumbent will be subject to inside environmental conditions.
