Job description

Description:

Do you enjoy turning complex data into meaningful business decisions? Are you the type of analyst who asks "why" instead of simply reporting "what"? If so, A&K Railroad Materials is looking for you.

For more than 65 years, A&K Railroad Materials has been a trusted leader in supplying new and used railroad track materials across North America. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Data Analyst who is passionate about solving business problems, improving processes, and helping leaders make smarter decisions through data.

This isn't a reporting-only position. You'll work closely with leaders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and Accounting to uncover opportunities, improve performance, and build dashboards and analytics that drive real business results.

Requirements:

What You'll Bring
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel
  • Ability to analyze operational, financial, or sales data and communicate meaningful insights
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Curiosity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset
Why You'll Love Working Here

We're building more than railroad infrastructureโ€”we're building a culture where trust, accountability, teamwork, and results come first. We value people who take ownership, challenge assumptions respectfully, and enjoy finding better ways to solve problems.

We offer:

  • Competitive pay
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Career Growth Opportunities

If you're looking for an opportunity where your analysis directly influences business decisionsโ€”not just another reporting roleโ€”we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today! Our application takes about 3 minutes, and qualified candidates can expect to hear from our recruiting team within 24โ€“48 hours.
