Job Title: Process/Technical Engineer-Technical Contract Review (Bilingual Chinese and English)

JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to Lead technical reviews of customer contracts and technical agreements, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing process requirements, and customer-specific technical specifications, ensure contract reviews are completed accurately and on time to minimize execution risks, quality issues, and compliance concerns, and provide on-site technical support to manufacturing and resolve engineering or process-related issues during contract implementation.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead technical reviews of customer contracts and technical agreements for regional sales orders, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing process requirements, customer-specific technical specifications, and special contractual requirements.
  • Ensure contract reviews are completed accurately and on time to minimize execution risks, quality issues, and manufacturing nonconformities.
  • Provide technical support to production during contract implementation and resolve engineering and process-related issues to ensure successful execution. Contract Review Process & Documentation
  • Participate in the development, validation, implementation, and promotion of cost reduction initiatives, including alternative material qualification, process optimization, and product design simplification.
  • Drive the implementation and utilization of approved cost-saving materials within the assigned region to support the company's overall cost reduction strategy and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate contract review activities and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Identify and proactively mitigate key quality risks throughout the photovoltaic module product lifecycle, with a focus on materials, manufacturing processes, and product reliability.
  • Perform other engineering duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering or related discipline required (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English preferred.
  • 1-3 years of working experience in high-tech manufacturing industry or highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with engineering change management (ECN), BOM management, and manufacturing documentation is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic module manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering change processes.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and CAD software (Solidworks or Inventor), experience using SAP, PLM and MES.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate manufacturing feasibility, identify technical risks, and support engineering decisions.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and project coordination skills.
  • Willingness to support cross-functional engineering activities, including contract review, production support, cost reduction initiatives, process improvement, and other engineering projects.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday. Able to lift to 50 pounds without restriction.
