Overview

Sunrise Detox: Position Title: Facility Executive Director

Sunrise Detox is a premiere center for drug and alcohol detox. Sunrise promises to give you one of the most comfortable medical detox processes available. We believe in creating a different experience where our road to recovery is dignified. Our clients reside in comfortable modern, elegantly furnished rooms where good nutrition is also an essential part of the detoxification process. We offer individual and group counseling to clients and bring in 12 Step meetings to show clients they are not alone once they leave treatment.

Executive Director Duties/Responsibilities
  • Works closely with senior management, middle management, clinical management and administrative management
  • Consistently communicates and reports to the Board of Directors
  • Plans and formulates all policies and programs which will enhance and further the corporation, and recommend them for approval by the Board of Directors
  • Executes all decisions of the Board of Directors
  • Executes contracts and commitments authorized by the Board of Directors
  • Evaluates results of compliance audits (i.e., HCFA, JCAHO, etc.) and recommends policies based on those results
  • Gives assistance on budget matters and legal issues
  • Establishes organizational structure
  • Provides knowledge and management of fiscal responsibilities
  • Operates within an annual budget, which is approved by the Board of Directors
  • Maintains effective relationships with related organizations in the mental health field, and maintain memberships in, and attend seminars at, such organizations
  • Responsible to the Board of Directors for the administration of the corporate office and for proper interpretation and fulfillment of his/her functions, responsibilities, authority and relationships
  • Ensures patient confidentiality in compliance with 42 CFR Part 2
  • Protects the privacy of all patient information in accordance with Sunrise Detoxification Center’s privacy policies, procedures and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a health care provider. Failure to comply with Sunrise Detoxification Center’s policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment
  • Accesses protected health information (PHI) and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete your job duties. Information can only be shared with those who have a need to know specific patient information to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment or other Sunrise Detoxification operations
  • Reports, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding Sunrise Detoxification Center’s policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to the Governing Board
  • Maintains a respectful relationship with patients
  • Maintains confidentiality always displaying a professional disposition towards fellow staff
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with Sunrise Detoxification staff and consumers alike
  • Interacts with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the recovery program relating to physical health
Executive Director Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited college or university with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in various disciplines or work experience equivalent
  • If a Bachelor’s Degree has been obtained, then a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the corporate management and healthcare field is required
  • Or if a Bachelor’s Degree has not been obtained and the work experience equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree has been obtained then 10+ years’ experience in the corporate management and healthc
