Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Lead product quality engineering team for hyperscale data center infrastructure, focusing on critical cooling systems, power network modules and ASME Section VIII pressure vessels

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)utilizing8D problem-solving methodologies and 5-Why forensics.Performing periodic quality audits to ensure suppliers continue to work in compliance with company and federal standards.
  • Define qualification strategiesand test plans to validate power module performance under worst-case thermal and operational stress.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, and quality documentation.
  • Review non-destructive examination (NDE) data, including radiography, ultrasonic, magneticparticle, and penetrant testing.
  • Track quality metrics including first-pass yield (FPY) and cost of poor quality (COPQ).
  • Partner with design engineers to implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
  • Coordinate withdata center operations to resolve field quality issues rapidly.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, process capability improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership and training to Quality Inspectors, Production personnel, and cross-functional teams.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with Kelvion’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Managingemployees’ work; setting and adjusting rates of pay and hours of workofemployees; planning and controlling the budget for department; providing for the safety of the employees; planning the work; determining the techniques to be used; apportioning the work among the workers.
  • To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational Framework

REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Proficiency in core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Identifying and resolving issues related to product quality, manufacturing processes, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Experience with electronic assembly manufacturingand high-power safety protocols.
  • Data-driven analytical mindcapable of querying manufacturing logs, system telemetry, and failure statistics.
  • Understanding of Microsoft toolssuch as Excel, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Power BI, and dashboard development.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.
  • 8+ years in quality engineering within heavy manufacturing or 5 years in data centers.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or engineering management role.
