Job description

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager for a direct hire opportunity with outstanding benefits.
Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, coordinating, administering, and supervising the activities of the manufacturing process engineering function for the organization.
  • Work with staff to plan and design methods to maintain, improve or enhance existing manufacturing processes.
  • Responsible for development and validation of new production processes as well as the upgrade of existing production processes and ensures effective transition to production standard practices.
  • Work with other manufacturing and engineering departments to ensure all new products are producible.
  • Assist in analyzing and reviewing manufacturing budgets, schedules, and production requirements to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources.
  • Develop and recommend revisions or enhancements to schedules, human and monetary resource allocations, and production standard operating procedures.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing or Industrial Technology.
  • Certification/Certificate in lean Manufacturing
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Manufacturing Process Engineering
  • 5+ years of new product development (NPD) in a team environment
  • 5+ years applying SIX Sigma (DMAIC) tools
  • 5+ years applying Lean Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment
  • 4+ years managing/supervising direct reports
