onsemi is currently seeking a hands-on Process Engineer to work as a CFA Process Engineer.  This person will utilize innovative concepts and best-known methods to improve and develop processes and products.  The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership, support, and training to internal and external customers.  This position will report to the Process Engineering Manager.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will have, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or 5+ years of industrial experience in a manufacturing or development environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to identify, assess, and solve problems.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with data-driven continuous improvement
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to manage conflict in a stressful environment.
  • Understands and listens to team members, fostering a productive team environment.
  • Handles multiple projects and priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in advanced techniques with relevant software: Camstar, SPACE, RMS, APC, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. 

Develop an in-depth understanding of how the CFA process is performed to be able to diagnose issues that occur during this process
  Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis skills to investigate process control charts, react to out of control/specification (OOC/OOS) conditions, and implement corrective actions
  Develop engineering skills to evaluate process results using statistical methods, implement solutions, and help recommend/drive process yield improvements
  Identify key manufacturing issues and lead cross-functional teams to develop solutions
  Maintaining, characterizing, and improving process performance for efficient imager CFA development work.
  Working with the other CFA teams on process, tool, and materials development.
  Provide direction for running experiments, special requests, inspections, and metrology tasks for the part types running in the CFA fab.
  Document experiments in a clear and concise manner to help train and educate fellow team members.
  Develop advanced skills on the metrology equipment to be able to perform in-depth product analysis and data collection
  Work closely with the lead and shift engineers on issues seen in the fab and implement solutions
