This Position reports to:
Senior Engineering ManagerAs an electrical engineering intern, you will assist the test and design engineer of machine-human interfaces for mine hoist systems. You will be part of ABB Canada's Process Automation, Process Industries division and will be based in our Saint-Laurent office. The work model is in person.
Your responsabilities
- Testing of winch control and supervision systems
- Testing of SIL 3 brake control systems for winches
- Development of operator interface for hoisting systems (ABB mine hoists)
- Installation of software for operator interfaces and system maintenance computers
- Helped develop and maintain winch control and supervision systems
- Writing and updating technical documentation and operating manuals
Qualifications
- Student in electrical engineering or automated production engineering
- General programming skills
- PLC (programmable logic controller) experience an asset
- Good communication skills, able to reach out to others to ask questions
- Proactivity on the job
