Summary
Lincoln Electric has an available opportunity for a Process Engineer. We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team at our Euclid, OH facility. The Process Engineer will provide collaborative communication, applying knowledge and experience toward innovating and improving our welding machine manufacturing processes. This role involves working with cross-functional teams and using creative problem-solving skills to meet goals.

What You Will Do
  • Work on engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety, lower operational and maintenance costs, and improve ergonomics.
  • Lead and/or assist with the implementation of continuous improvement program initiatives.
  • Develop new concepts in machine and subcomponent assembly and handling.
  • Support Production departments in achieving safety, quality, attainment, and cost targets.
  • Develop equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analyses, and proposals for integrating new equipment and tooling into the manufacturing process.
  • Apply practical process knowledge with a hands-on approach to production troubleshooting, installations, and testing.
  • Create & maintain all documentation associated with the manufacturing process.
  • Willingness to learn business metrics related to order attainment, factory load, conversion costs, and other profitability drivers.
  • Interface and provide technical support to all Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and R&D departments.
  • Assist with the design and scale up of manufacturing processes, instruments, and equipment.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed or directed in support of the corporate strategy.
  • Investigate product warranty reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Monitor and evaluate production parameters related to quality, cost, and productivity.
  • Author operational work instructions.
  • Work as a collaborative team member or team leader on strategic projects.
  • Work under general supervision with few direct instructions. Carry out routine tasks independently.
  • Solve complex problems with assistance from senior engineers; take a broad perspective to identify solutions.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 3+ years professional experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of discrete manufacturing, machine assembly, and piecework is a plus.
  • Experience or familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to identify new opportunities.
  • Must be proficient in conducting data analyses in MS Excel.
  • Must have exceptional communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
