Process Engineer, Hayward, WI

Arclin USA, LLC is currently seeking talent for a Process Engineer job in our Hayward, WI location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role will develop, evaluate, and improve the manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials, chemicals, and production equipment capabilities, works closely with automation, engineering and safety functions to ensure all aspects of change management are executed, and maintain all quality control standards.

 Process Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of the plant, ensure the manufacturing processes work at optimal levels, maximize the rate and quality of all surface treaters in order to meet supply requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to modify and/or add new processes that will improve quality and efficiency
  • Provide technical knowledge to improve quality of existing products and/or new product development.
  • Provide technical assistance to improve process control and reduce variation.
  • Carry out process improvement/optimization work including planning and supervising in-mill production trials. Determine areas requiring process improvements and coordinate efforts for achievement
  • Provide technical advice on plant operations for troubleshooting and improvements.
  • Prepare/review risk assessments, HAZOPs, PHA’s, MOC’s
  • Collaborates on the preparation of engineering analysis of projects that includes preliminary design, detailed design, project cost analysis, life cycle cost analysis and equipment selection.
  • Leads Corrective and Preventative Action documentation and response, including leading the site in the discipline of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning.

 Process Engineer Job Requirements:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing facility. Will consider recent college graduates based on school program, internships, and GPA.
  • On-call for process related production issues and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel throughout the facility.

 Preferred:

  • Experience working with continuous and batch processes; Paper, Tissue, Non-Woven, Coating, Engineered Wood/Panels, Printing, or Chemical processes a plus.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black belt.
