The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, an iconic oceanfront destination on St. Simons Island, Georgia, is seeking an accomplished and visionary Director of Sales to lead the resort’s commercial strategy during a defining period of transformation.

As this historic independent resort prepares for a major renovation and repositioning—poised to emerge as one of the premier luxury resort destinations on the East Coast. This role presents a rare executive opportunity to shape the future of a legacy property at the highest level.

We are seeking a proven sales leader with deep expertise in upscale hospitality, a sophisticated understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to drive performance through both strategic leadership and modern sales execution.

The Opportunity

The Director of Sales will serve as the senior commercial leader responsible for driving top‑line revenue growth, expanding market share, and elevating the resort’s presence within the luxury leisure, group, and corporate segments.

This executive will play a pivotal role in developing the sales vision that supports the resort’s renovation‑driven evolution, ensuring demand generation, account expansion, and rate growth align with the enhanced guest experience and future brand positioning.

Reporting directly to executive leadership, the Director of Sales will collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, Operations, and Ownership to deliver sustained financial and market success. This will be a role eligible for commission.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a dynamic commercial executive who brings both strategic vision and hands‑on leadership, with the ability to elevate an independent resort into the highest tier of East Coast destinations.

Required Experience & Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of progressive hotel sales experience, including senior‑level leadership responsibility.
  • Strong preference for experience within independent, lifestyle, or luxury resort environments.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth in competitive destination markets.
  • Experience leading sales strategy during periods of renovation, repositioning, or significant transformation strongly preferred.
  • Advanced understanding of modern sales methodologies, digital prospecting, distribution evolution, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Exceptional leadership presence with the ability to influence across executive stakeholders and ownership.
