Job description

Bemana is recruiting a Business Development Manager in the greater Seattle, WA area to join a leading industrial distribution company. Our client is focused on finding solutions for their customers everyday challenges, offering products, services and expertise that helps reduce cost and increase efficiencies.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for bringing in new business and establishing repeat business relationships with new customers. They improve the company's profitability by increasing growth in market share and gross margin. This is a great opportunity for a strong business development representative who thrives in consultative sales and has in-depth knowledge of industrial products. The position requires travel to support local branches, factory training and conferences.
Position Offers:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish new customers and expand current customer base beyond our traditional territories.
  • Develop a pipeline of customer prospects through networking, referrals, research, and cold calling, utilizing our CRM (Salesforce).
  • Grow profitable market share by presenting value-added service, keeping current with information on competitive products, customer machinery and processes.
  • Improves company performance through increased sales and gross margins.
  • Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
  • Promote and maintain effective working relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Utilize vendor representatives to help develop accounts and territory, establishing repeat joint calls.
  • Identify and evaluate new customers, market conditions, opportunities, prospects and competitive pressures.
  • Recommend and implement actions to maximize sales, increase margins, and expand market share.
  • Always look for ways to provide value to customers, documenting cost savings and reporting back to the customer.
  • Record account, contacts, joint calls, and sales activities in CRM.
  • Collaborate with local customer experience team on how to provide the best service.
Experience:
  • 5+ years proven B2B sales experience in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
  • Proven track record of growth in outside sales.
  • Industrial tool experience or mechanical/technical aptitude is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
