Our ISOโ€‘13485โ€“certified network produces biocompatible, wearโ€‘resistant coatings trusted in medical, aerospace, food contact, automotive, decorative, tooling, and fuel cell applications. Your mission
  • Be the onโ€‘site technical driver for PVD operationsโ€”plan experiments, coach teams, and translate learnings into standard work.
  • Improve flow, yield, and quality using data, SPC, and rigorous problemโ€‘solving methodologies (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Lead application development and production scaleโ€‘ups with the Plant Management team.
  • Implement targeted equipment or process upgrades to unlock capability and capacity.
  • Own QMS adherenceโ€”maintain ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 processes; train colleagues on procedures and work instructions.
  • Embed Lean tools (5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping) to eliminate waste and stabilize outcomes.
  • Tackle related tasks as the operation evolves.
What youโ€™ll need to succeed
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgy, or Plasma Physics.
  • 3+ yearsโ€™ handsโ€‘on vacuum coating experience in thin films; deep familiarity with PVD/PACVD equipment and processes.
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality systems; APQP experience including PFMEA and Control Plans.
  • Mechanical design aptitude with AutoCAD (or similar) and the ability to manage small to midโ€‘size projects.
  • Clear communication, strong organization, detail orientation, and a collaborative approach.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~10%).
