Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI), is a privately held, California-based corporation. BCI is a leading and innovative company specializing in the development of market-driven products for the transmission of digital multimedia (video, audio, and data) over fiber.
Many of BCI's clients are world leaders in their industry, which span a wide variety of industry segments including entertainment, broadcast, medical, professional audio/video, house of worship, education, government, military, and transportation.
Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a hands-on role and is responsible for developing, managing, and growing revenue profitably at assigned accounts, for assigned products and in target application market segments for the assigned accounts. Additional responsibilities include developing new revenue at target customers and in target applications segments. The BDM will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new opportunities at key OEM's, system integrators, and key market influencers.
The Business Development Manager role is an individual contributor role, reporting to the VP of Sales. The BDM will utilize prescribed sales processes and is responsible to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Primary Function / Responsibilities:
• Achieve Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Targets
• Develop and execute annual/quarterly/monthly regional business plans for the region - target customers, target products and target applications markets
• Coordinate Application Engineer and demonstration system resources to effectively achieve customer development goals.
• Effectively develop and grow the Sales Opportunity funnel to assure achievement of revenue goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Travel: Up to 40% travel within the territory, other travel as required
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
• At least 5 years of sales experience with a track record of growth in the sale of highly engineered products or systems to OEM's, integrators, or Imaging market. System sales experience is a plus.
• At least 5 years' experience developing and growing new customers, new markets or new geographies.
• Demonstrated capability to consistently overachieve quarterly/yearly sales targets.
Job Skills Required:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Prioritizes quickly to focus on the critical few and drive action
• Process driven - manage business through the effective use of sales processes: funnel management, sf.com, value/solution based/consultative selling
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
