Senior Proposals Development Associate (Proposals Support) - Remote, US

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
  • Participate in the development, support and on-going maintenance of all costing tools and associated modules.
  • Support Business Development in the winning of new business for ICON
  • Support Client Contract Services in the management of contract and change orders

  • To ensure the operational effectiveness of Business Development through development, maintenance, and training responsibilities applicable to costing systems.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure the operational effectiveness of Business Development through development, maintenance, and training responsibilities applicable to systems and analysis.
  • Work with other ICON Regions and divisions to develop and maintain the GPT.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of current systems, tools, and processes
  • Maintain current systems, tools, and processes
  • Identify future needs and propose methods to best utilize technology to improve the efficiency of the department
  • Proactively assist in the identification of training and development requirements of potential users of Business Development systems and tools
  • Provide initial and ongoing training and support to all potential users of Business Development systems and tools
  • Support the team in delivering high quality client-focused proposals, budgets and client grids for new business opportunities within given timeframe
  • Train and mentor Systems Analysts as appropriate.
  • Evaluate Systems Analysts for ongoing performance reviews (PRP)
  • Assist the Directors, Proposals and Client Contracts Services in developing and improving training and educational materials for Proposal Development Associates and Contract Analysts
  • Contribute to the development of processes and tools to improve the accuracy and quality of proposals and contracts*
  • Assist with continuous departmental process improvements and participate in special projects periodically assigned, in addition to day-to-day duties
  • Comply with ICON administrative, training and human resources policies*
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 10% of the time (international and domestic: fly and drive)*

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical / CRO industry or equivalent
  • Prior experience in proposal development or outsourcing and/or relevant related experience/qualifications
  • Prior experience in (Sponsor) outsourcing management (Contract and Change Orders) and/or relevant related experience/qualifications
  • Good understanding of industry cost drivers
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must be a self-starter, pro-active and professional with an ability to function in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English and excellent written English skills are essential
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft excel, Microsoft word and Microsoft outlook.
  • Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employees location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license
