Job description

Quality Control Technician
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Quality Control Technician for a company based in Hartselle, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure that fabricated parts for Aerospace and Manufacturing meet strict customer and internal technical specifications and quality standards.

Pay Rate
$24.00 or more per hour based on experience

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 7 00 am to 4 00 pm

Quality Control Technician Duties and Responsibilities
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems and working in an AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not be limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and scales.
  • Strong understanding in blueprint reading/geometric tolerancing interpretation (GD&T.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events that may result in being required to work overtime or weekends.
  • Must possess basic math skills.
Quality Control Technician Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Blueprint reading: The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and weld systems.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC): Applying mathematical concepts and software to track quality trends and identify recurring production issues.
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination to maneuver equipment in tight spaces and navigate busy warehouse environments.
