Job description

Neogen is seeking a detail-oriented QC Technician I to join our team. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting Neogen's manufacturing and quality operations by developing and executing quality control protocols, analyzing validation data, preparing technical reports, and helping ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate brings experience in quality control and microbiology within a regulated environment, strong technical writing and analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Work Model: Onsite

What You'll Do

As a QC Technician I, you will:

  • Develop and prepare installation, testing, and validation procedures and protocols to ensure products and processes meet regulatory requirements, Neogen standards, and industry best practices.

  • Execute and support quality control activities while ensuring protocols are completed accurately and thoroughly.

  • Compile, analyze, and review quality control data and prepare detailed quality reports.

  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate process enhancements.

  • Conduct and support microbiological assays and prepare quality and stability reports.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot quality control - and microbiology-related issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.

  • Maintain accurate, organized, and complete quality control documentation and records to support compliance and traceability.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing and Quality Assurance, to support quality initiatives.

  • Ensure quality control activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety procedures, regulatory guidelines, and internal requirements.

What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of experience in validation, microbiology, or a related field, preferably within a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.

  • Strong understanding of quality control protocols, microbiological assays, validation reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and identify root causes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing and quality-focused environment.
