Job description

Job Title: Senior Specialist – Production Control

Company: AISIN World Corp. of America

Department: Operations, Production Control

Location: Laredo, TX Region 

This position will function to support the North American production control and supply chain operations, with a preference for candidates based in the Laredo, TX area for periodic visits to nearby logistics warehouses. The position manages order and inventory processes, supports production planning, and drives standardization across plants.

The role requires a bilingual (English/Spanish) professional with strong production control experience and the ability to collaborate across U.S. and Mexico teams. Occasional travel to Mexico is required.

 

Position Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position:

  • Understand Customer Requirements
  • Perform Order and Inventory management operations
  • Coordinate, lead, and evaluate North American Production Control standardization activities
  • Create training documents and train local North American Plants (NAPs)
  • Develop and issue summary reports/schedules for activities performed
  • Duties will require interaction with Customers, AISIN Facilities, and Suppliers

Required Skills and Abilities

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Must be Bi-Lingual, English and Spanish. Fluent, business level communication abilities - writing, reading, and speaking.
  • Production Control background in the following fields:
  • Program Launch and ECI Management
  • Master Data Management
  • Sales, Production, and Component Planning
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics and Material Handling Operations

Beneficial Skills and Experience

  • Microsoft Office primarily EXCEL
  • ORACLE
  • FUTURE3 / POWER8

Education/Training/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred or 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management.


Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 10-35 %.
  • Ability to travel internationally is required (Frequent trips to Mexico).
  • Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs.
