Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts for a major federal construction project supporting a project in Laredo, TX for a project for theTexas Military Department.

The Quality Control Manager plays a key role in making sure both the design and construction work meet the project's standards. They bring the expertise needed to review, inspect, and document daily tasks to ensure everything is done according to the project's minimum requirements. While the Project Manager and Superintendent focus on the bigger picture, the QC Manager concentrates specifically on maintaining the quality of the work being done. To avoid any conflicts between quality, safety, scheduling, and productivity goals, the QC Manager reports directly to the Superintendent.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) on Federal US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) projects
  • At least 2 years of construction experience on comparable commercial or federal construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience serving as QCM on vertical construction projects
  • Experience supporting construction projects valued at $50 million or greater
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal construction quality standards, processes, and documentation requirements
  • Ability to review plans, specifications, and construction activities for compliance and quality assurance
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
