Job description

Title: Process Control Automation Technician (PCAT)
Location: Freeport, TX
Salary: $75,500 - $115,000
Schedule: 9/80; 5-8's
Focus: The Process Control Automation Technician is responsible for assisting Chlor-Alkali partners with process control needs based on business needs.
Process Control Automation Technician Minimum Requirements
  • Support and maintain plant process control systems (Delta V, MOD V) while leveraging Process Control Most Effective Technology (MET)
  • Support/coach operations personnel on day-to-day process control activities and generate/update programming to support day-to-day operations and improvement projects
  • Perform DCS program loads for the facility; develop and maintain DCS graphics/flowsheets, and provide first level support for DCS hardware
  • Serve as first line of contact to assist operations in troubleshooting control issues and data historian (Aspen IP-21) system administrator
  • Monitor and improve plant metrics including alarm frequency and instruments in manual and maintain up to date code documentation to support life cycle of plant

Process Control Automation Technician Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree* preferred
  • 3+ years of control systems experience; Programming and chlorine chemical process experience preferred
  • Experience with MOD V and/or Delta V control system preferred; Prior Olin experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and execute several support activities simultaneously; Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
  • Must be available to provide periodic off-hours support (on-call support)
