With a commitment to technology and innovation, we have been providing our community, clients and colleagues the best experience possible for over 150 years. Help us transform our workforce of the future, today.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Process Engineer plays a key role in driving process transformation initiatives, leveraging process mining, task mining, and intelligent process optimization to deliver operational efficiencies across deposits, lending, finance, affluent, and other business units. This Process Engineer challenges the status quo, provides thought leadership, and collaborates with stakeholders to optimize processes, mitigate risk, and improve the customer experience. The successful candidate will partner with business owners, automation, technology, data, and risk groups to prioritize and execute projects, develop business cases, and implement process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by streamlining operations, supporting scalability, and contributing to the long-term strategic roadmap of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute end-to-end process improvement initiatives, applying the Improvement Model to identify pain points and deliver measurable outcomes across complex workflows.
  • Translate data into action by analyzing processes, developing business cases, and prioritizing high-impact opportunities.
  • Partner across business, technology, automation, data, and risk teams to design and implement practical, scalable solutions.
  • Drive process optimization through automation, standardization, and continuous improvement while ensuring risk and control considerations are addressed.
  • Support execution and adoption by guiding stakeholders, contributing to project delivery, and advancing enterprise process frameworks and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in process mining, task mining, process mapping, and end-to-end process transformation, with a proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and drive measurable improvements across complex workflows.
  • Demonstrated capability to navigate and apply an end-to-end Improvement Model-including understanding customer/employee experience, mapping and measuring processes, identifying bottlenecks and rework, establishing OKRs, and implementing scalable solutions.
  • Proficiency with process mapping and analysis tools (e.g., Blueworks Live, Visio) and familiarity with automation technologies (RPA) and data transformation techniques to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflicting data, influence stakeholders, and translate insights into actionable business improvements.
  • Bachelor's degree (business, finance, or related) required; Lean/Six Sigma or BPM certification preferred, with working knowledge of project methodologies and experience operating in cross-functional environments. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Location:

This position is fully in office (5 days a week) at the Zions Technology Center - 7860 South Bingham Junction Blvd, Midvale, UT 84047
