Role: Senior Scientist – Pharmaceutical Development

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA

Pay: $48/hr - 58/hr (w2)

Shift: 1st shift

Duration: Start date 06-01-2026 End date 09-20-2026

Overview

Lead formulation and process development for biologics, combination products, and advanced drug delivery systems. Support product innovation, process optimization, technology transfer, and commercialization in a cGMP/cGLP regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize pharmaceutical/biologic formulations and drug delivery systems.
  • Design and execute formulation, characterization, and Process Analytical Technology (PAT) studies.
  • Support technology transfer and process transfer to Manufacturing, QA/QC, CMOs, and CROs.
  • Prepare technical reports, analyze data, and present findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ICH (Q2, Q3, Q5, Q6, Q11), cGMP, and cGLP requirements.
  • Create SOPs and evaluate new technologies, ingredients, and competitor products.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD + 4+ years or Master's + 6+ years in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech formulation and process development.
  • Strong experience with biologics, drug delivery systems, and pharmaceutical formulations.
  • Knowledge of ICH Guidelines (Q2, Q3, Q5, Q6, Q11), cGMP, and cGLP.
  • Experience with data analysis, technical documentation, SOP writing, and technology transfer.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and laboratory instrument software.

Preferred

  • Protein formulation and characterization.
  • Biologic drug development and Process Analytical Technology (PAT).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
