Job description

Position Overview
This position is a paid internship for a college student currently working towards a degree in Accounting, Finance, or another related field. As an Accounting Intern, you will support a wide range of accounting processes including reconciliation of vendor invoicing and accounts payable data entry. The Accounting Intern is responsible for providing overall support to the Accounting Department.
Responsibilities
• Match vendor invoices to the appropriate purchase orders/purchase requisitions and receiving reports.
• Verify prices charged by vendor are accurate.
• Setup the voucher for payment and enter them into the accounts payable system.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Scan and organize files electronically.
• Assist Financial Controller with various projects.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in higher education seeking an Accounting, Finance or related major.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
