Job description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity as a Director at a Licensed childcare/ preschool in Dallas? Look no further – join an established Texas Rising Star Quality Institution to make a positive impact on the lives of families and young children.

 The Director must effectively operate and manage all aspects of the school, which includes, but is not limited to: managing parent relations, marketing, staff planning and motivation, student curriculum, budget planning of school finances (revenue, expenses, budgets etc.), ensuring documentation and upkeep of statutory records as per State and Federal regulations. The Director must always promote a positive image of the School within the community of parents, staff and children. The ideal Director has strong leadership, management and communication skills.

Requirements:

·         Minimum experience of 3-5 years as Director of Licensed Childcare/Preschool facility

·         Strong knowledge of Texas State Licensing Minimum Standards

·         Proven track record of marketing success (well versed with social media applications like Facebook and Instagram and also able to coordinate events)

·         Classroom teacher experience is preferred

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

·         Demonstrated ability to interact positively with parents and staff

·         Understanding of school financials

·         Experience with ProCare software is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

·         Develop strong relationships with staff, parents and students

·         Ensure compliance with Texas State Licensing Minimum Standards

·         Align with management/ownership strategy

·         Design and execute curriculum marketing activities to ensure projected student enrollment and continued growth

·         Manage assigned school financial related tasks

·         Manage assigned budget for preschool operations

·         Maintain statutory requirements of the preschool

·         Maintain all documents related to student enrollment and health records to meet State and Federal policies

·         Supervise teachers to ensure student’s safety and well being

·         Manage preschool operations to include but not limited to:

a.       Oversee the preschool curriculum and daily facility operations

b.      Recruit qualified staff and provide ongoing training as necessary

c.       Assign staff based on students’ needs in each class

d.      Empower school staff and delegate responsibilities appropriately

e.       Routine and effective communication with parents

f.        Exercise sound judgement in daily decisions

g.       Communicate timely and effectively with management/ownership on revenue, staff and other statutory requirements/issues/needs

h.      Follow the preschool guidelines and policies
