Join Our Team!
The Pineapple School is looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Spanish Early Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role focuses on creating a fun, engaging, and nurturing Spanish immersion environment where children can learn through music, movement, play, and hands-on activities.
Our teachers help foster a safe and positive classroom while encouraging children’s social, emotional, and language development through meaningful daily interactions in Spanish.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching and interacting with the children in Spanish, exposing them to songs, finger plays, music, and dance.
  • Conducting daily supervision of children’s activities and conducting daily inspection of the environment.
  • Practicing developmentally appropriate techniques and assisting with implementing the lesson plans.
  • Working together with the Lead Teacher to maintain an orderly and clean learning environment (this includes taking out the trash; proper sanitizing of tables, counters, bathrooms, and toys; and organizing drawers, cabinets, and shelves).
  • Assisting the children during snack and mealtimes, modeling polite manners.
  • Assisting children with personal hygiene, including diaper-changing, potty-training, and cleaning a child, and helping him/her to change clothes in the event of an accident.
  • Utilizing Conscious Discipline strategies to promote cooperation, constructive problem solving, and academic success in the classroom.
  • Engaging children in a playful learning environment both indoors and outdoors (outdoor playtime consists of two scheduled 45-minute periods each day).
  • Closing the classroom on a daily basis.
  • Preparing crafts and activities for and participating in special events and celebrations such as Easter and Día de los Muertos.
  • Helping out in other parts of the school.
  • Attending ongoing staff development activities, including our evening monthly staff meeting, and maintaining the required level of training hours.
