Job description

The Tennis Pro Shop Attendant at a resort plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and support to guests utilizing the tennis facilities. This position involves managing the day-to-day operations of the pro shop, assisting with equipment rentals and sales, and coordinating court reservations. The Tennis Pro Shop Attendant is responsible for maintaining an organized inventory of tennis merchandise, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness within the pro shop, and processing transactions accurately. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills as the attendant interacts with resort guests, providing information, addressing inquiries, and promoting tennis-related programs and services. The Tennis Pro Shop Attendant contributes to the overall guest experience by creating a welcoming atmosphere and facilitating the smooth functioning of the tennis facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

       Provide excellent customer service, helping and guidance to customers regarding tennis equipment, apparel, and accessories.

       Process sales of tennis equipment, clothing, accessories, and other merchandise. Handle cash transactions, credit card payments, and maintain accurate records of sales.

       Perform basic equipment services such as racket stringing, grip replacement, and maintaining equipment in good condition. Assist customers in selecting appropriate gear based on their needs.

       Monitor and manage inventory levels, restock items, and ensure the Pro Shop is adequately supplied with the necessary equipment and merchandise.

       Assist in scheduling court reservations, managing the booking system, and handling inquiries or bookings related to lessons, clinics, and court rentals.

       Manage the front desk by handling phone inquiries, welcoming and checking in customers, and providing information about shop services and offerings.

       Enforce shop policies, ensuring safety regulations, and following proper procedures in handling equipment and transactions.

       The colleague is held accountable for all duties of this job and other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIRMENTS:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
