Job Summary:
Riot Games is focused on delivering amazing player experiences through global esports events. As a Sr. Manager in Esports Product Management, you will build esports ecosystems for Teamfight Tactics and support explorations on new titles while collaborating with various teams to enhance player experiences.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Partner with the Executive Producers and Publishing Leads to define outcomes for esports and align on a vision for the player experience for games, with a primary focus on Teamfight Tactics
โ€ข Own the holistic player experience and partner with other Riot teams to champion execution against your vision - from live events and broadcast, to marketing and partnerships
โ€ข Evaluate and refine existing programs, such as the TFT Open & Pro Circuit, to ensure they hold up against changing conditions and new information as the title continues to grow.
โ€ข Partner with regional teams to develop a nuanced understanding of local player needs and ensure the global strategy is executed and amplified at the local level
โ€ข Serve as a member of Game Leadership Teams, championing and aligning on esports strategy while contributing broader perspective beyond your functional lane to drive the best outcomes for the game
โ€ข Manage the P&L and health of the esports ecosystems, both establishing and tracking metrics including viewership (e.g., AMA / PCU), audience satisfaction, and engagement (e.g., tournament participation)
โ€ข Support as an esports craft lead globally, partnering with esports leads from League of Legends, VALORANT, and other titles, to set the vision for and hold a high performance bar
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 7+ years of product leadership experience in esports or product management
โ€ข Proven ability to create and articulate a clear product vision and strategy
โ€ข A fan of TFT esports, with a demonstrated understanding of the esports ecosystem, the major players, and how the ecosystem fits together
โ€ข Background working with community members, especially streamers and content creators, to build programs and products that support their needs
โ€ข Experience managing complex, matrixed teams; including experience managing distributed teams
โ€ข Experience working with international teams, especially working with teams in China
โ€ข Holistic product P+L ownership/management experience
