Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is a 365-entertainment destination for world-class events located in Austin, TX. The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit and Live Nation producing over 30 headline concerts every year at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters.

COTALAND is seeking a creative and motivated Junior Graphic Designer to support the development and execution of visual content across one of Texas' most exciting new entertainment destinations.


This is a hands on, fast paced role for a designer who is eager to build their experience, sharpen their creative skills, and contribute to a growing brand. The Junior Graphic Designer will work closely with the Marketing team to create compelling visual assets across digital, social media, print, advertising, events, attractions, and the on site guest experience.


The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands how to work within established brand guidelines, takes direction well, and is excited to contribute ideas of their own. Experience or interest in theme parks, live entertainment, sports, motorsports, hospitality, or other high energy consumer brands is a plus.


This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow as a designer while working on a wide variety of creative projects in a highly collaborative environment.


Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Create graphics and creative assets for social media, digital advertising, email, web, print, and other marketing channels
  • Support creative development for marketing campaigns, ride launches, seasonal events, promotions, ticket offers, and brand initiatives
  • Design social media content, digital advertisements, flyers, posters, presentation materials, and internal communications
  • Assist with the development of signage, menus, promotional materials, wayfinding, large format graphics, and other on site creative needs
  • Resize, adapt, and version existing creative across multiple platforms and formats
  • Work within established COTALAND brand standards to maintain a consistent visual identity across all guest and marketing touchpoints
  • Collaborate closely with members of the Marketing team and other departments to understand project needs and execute creative requests
  • Prepare production ready files for print, digital, and large format applications
  • Make creative revisions based on feedback from Marketing leadership and internal stakeholders
  • Organize creative files, templates, brand assets, photography, and other design resources
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Assist with photo, video, content, and other creative projects throughout the park when needed


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of graphic design experience, including internships, freelance work, agency experience, or in house creative work
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals in typography, layout, composition, branding, and digital design
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Strong understanding of designing for social media and digital platforms
  • Ability to follow established brand guidelines while still bringing creativity to individual projects
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments at the same time
  • Ability to receive feedback, make revisions quickly, and work collaboratively with a team
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment where priorities may shift quickly
  • Willingness to occasionally work evenings, weekends, or special events based on park and marketing needs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing for entertainment, attractions, hospitality, sports, motorsports, events, or consumer brands
