PRN/Casual Registered Nurse

Qualifications

  • Education: graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Minnesota.
  • Experience: minimum of two years of experience as a registered nurse, strong preference for previous hospice or palliative care experience.
  • Skills: ability to work independently and seek consultation and support as appropriate, capable of providing supervision to our home health aide team members, skilled in crisis intervention and response, advance care planning facilitation, familiarity with grief support, acceptance of different social, racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds, flexibility, innovation, and strong interpersonal skills, ability to cope or seek support for work-related mental and emotional stress, and ability to value all members of the interdisciplinary team. Must have exceptional time management and attention to detail.
  • Responsibilities: support an individualized plan of care by participating in admission and comprehensive assessments with the ability to provide timely verbal and written communication and maintain all required documentation.
  • Transportation: must have a current, valid driver's license with auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Position Details

  • Must be able to provide coverage for at least one weekend/month; flexibility to pick up more preferred.
  • Generous on-call compensation.
