The Role
The Private Wealth Associate leads the relationship and management of clientsโ€™ household planning. This role applies knowledge of risk, investments, and financial planning to analyze current situations and develop and implement solutions specific to the needs and goals of clients. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to support task execution and new business opportunities. From building recommendations to coordinating implementation with the Operations team, this role supports clients define, build, and enjoy their most prosperous lives.
Responsibilities of the Role
  • Assist Private Wealth Advisor in aspects of client relationship management, including client/ household scheduling, research and analysis, account servicing, and ensuring client information is correct and consistent.
  • Work alongside a Client Service Associate, or Operations Team Member, to delegate implementation and servicing items for execution.
  • Attend client meetings to support the Private Wealth Advisors with memorialization of meeting notes and action items.
  • Complete follow-up/action items that arise during client interactions, including servicing items and new business opportunities.
  • Complete periodic internal reviews of managed households/ clients; working to identify areas of opportunity and data inconsistencies to review with Private Wealth Advisor.
  • Understand Sparks Financialsโ€™ philosophy around planning; and, if needed, make prospect/ client introductions to our trusted CPA, Estate Attorney, and Sophisticated Planning partners.
  • Gaining an understanding of Northwestern Mutual product selection including risk and investments; this would include understanding industry standards and competing products. Expectation to gain a deep knowledge of holistic financial planning philosophies to independently, or collaboratively with a Private Wealth Advisors, develop recommendations.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple business units, while exemplifying excellent communication skills, to help achieve client goals.
  • Participation in weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings to share and develop skills and best practices.
  • Participate in Home Office and/or local office Ad-Hoc committees and project requests as they arise.
What You Will Bring to the Team
  • 5+ years in Financial Services, with a background in financial planning.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent secondary education. Equivalentย relevantย experience and training may be substituted.
  • Colorado Life and Health Insurance and Long-Term Care Licenses required.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 Licenses required.
  • CFPยฎ designation or equivalent industry standard designations or ability to obtain.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple business units, sourcing necessary information, and organizing deliverables in a consistent and concise manner.
  • High level of attention to detail and detail orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle the execution of confidential and time sensitive information.
