Math Teacher – Grades 3–9 (Mathematician)
First Trinity Academy is a private Pre-K through 9th-grade school in Leesburg, Florida, committed to academic rigor, critical thinking, and strong foundational skills. With small class sizes, we provide an environment where teachers can teach deeply and students can truly understand—not just memorize.

Benefits/Perks
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Supportive, professional work environment
  • Small class sizes with engaged students
We are seeking an exceptional Math Teacher—a true mathematician at heart and a skilled and forward-thinking Math teacher who can also  teach Artificial Intelligence (AI), computer literacy, and digital innovation to students in grades 3 through 9. This role is ideal for someone who not only understands mathematics procedurally, but conceptually; someone who can break down complex ideas into clear, logical steps and develop strong mathematical thinkers; can make modern technology understandable and exciting for younger learners while maintaining a highly organized classroom. This teacher should be able to introduce students to AI concepts responsibly, teach practical computer skills, and inspire curiosity about the future of technology.

The ideal candidate values precision, structure, and reasoning, and can instill confidence and discipline in students through consistent expectations and strong classroom management.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach mathematics across multiple grade levels (3–9), including arithmetic, pre-algebra, and algebraic reasoning
  • Develop lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, problem-solving, and logical thinking
  • Teach age-appropriate technology and AI lessons to grades 3–9
  • Introduce students to concepts such as machine learning, automation, prompts, data, ethics, coding logic, and digital citizenship
  • Teach practical computer skills including typing, productivity tools, research skills, presentations, and responsible internet use
  • Create engaging hands-on projects using laptops and classroom technology
  • Build strong foundational skills while inspiring and advancing students toward higher-level mathematical reasoning
  • Maintain a structured classroom with clear expectations and consistent routines
  • Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Prepare students for standardized assessments and long-term academic success
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school leadership
  • Participate in school meetings, planning, and professional development
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or related field
  • Strong mathematical background; candidates with advanced math coursework preferred
  • Strong understanding of modern technology tools and emerging AI platforms
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to children and teens
  • Florida teaching certification (preferred, not required)
  • Proven ability to teach and explain mathematical concepts clearly
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to challenge students while supporting varied learning levels
Ideal Candidate:
  • Thinks like a mathematician; values logic, patterns, and precision
  • Can explain the “why” behind every step, not just the “how”
  • Experience teaching coding, robotics, STEM, or digital media
  • Familiarity with Apple Mac laptops, Chromebooks, or mixed-device classrooms
  • Understanding of safe and ethical AI use in education
  • Holds high academic expectations and maintains structure in the classroom
  • Confident leading a classroom with clarity and authority
  • Committed to developing disciplined, capable, and independent learners
