This job engages in advanced clinical social work practice in the medical setting based on the application of social work theory, knowledge, ethics and methods to restore or enhance, social, psychosocial or bio-psychosocial functioning of individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations and communities. Applies specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of prevention, assessment and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral and addictive disorders; engages in multi-disciplinary treatment planning and clinical social work duties and coordinates and implements complex discharge plans through the use of the company and community-based services. This position is nrolled in an Ochnser Workforce Development program and is required to practice only under the supervision of an LCSW-BACS employed by the organization. This role will complete 3000 hours of supervised clinical work, plus 96 hours of face to face LCSW-BACS supervision.

The LMSW to LCSW Workforce Development Program is a strategic initiative designed to grow and retain talent by supporting Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs) in achieving their Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. Participant Expectations

Participants in the program will:

  • Actively engage in all training and supervision activities

  • Maintain strong job performance while completing program requirements

  • Commit to completing clinical supervision hours toward LCSW licensure
