Position Description
Office assistants in the Art Department may be stationed around different areas of the department and work under the faculty supervisors in those areas, including but not limited to:
  • Main Office
  • Printmaking Studio
  • Painting Studio
  • Moakley Classrooms

Throughout all areas, tasks for Art Office Assistants may include:
  • Cleaning and organizing classrooms and studio spaces
  • Assisting professors with their requests
  • Assisting with art supply inventory and delivering supplies to classrooms
  • Assisting the Administrative Assistant with day-to-day operations
  • Answer phone calls and monitor office in the Administrative Assistant's absence
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests, professors and staff.
  • Ability to assist visitors and facilitate tours of the Art Building when requested.

Physical Demands
Must be able to occasionally lift heavy boxes & supplies and deliver them to various classrooms.
