Job description

REPORTS TO: Print Shop Administrator APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open Until Filled LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 226 Days DATE REVISED: 4/21/2017 WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt     SALARY RANGE: $17.43 Minimum $26.15 Maximum PAY GRADE:  PS 4

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Graphic Design and Illustration Aide/Secretary/Bookkeeper is directly responsible to the Print Shop Administrator. The Graphic Design and Illustration Aide/Secretary/Bookkeeper, is to be responsible for handling the print shop's office duties.


QUALIFICATIONS:
TEA certification requirements 

High School Graduate or GED 

Type 40 wpm
A knowledge of modern business practices and procedures of English, Spelling, and commercial terminology 

Willing to work with high school students
Willing to work with the Graphic Design Studio staff and customers 

Willing to learn the ordering process for supplies and materials
Any other TEA requirements where applicable


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
 Receives visitors, ascertains the purpose of the visit, attends to visitor's business or refers him/her to the proper person.
 Advises customer of completed jobs.
 Process printing orders.
 Take care of the billing.
 Record printing account receivables.
 Maintain paper inventory records.
 Orders supplies and materials.
 Maintain filing system for the print shop.
 Prepare all purchase orders.
 Prepare all payment authorizations.
 Type correspondence, memorandum, forms, requisitions and other records.
 Maintain accurate records for Graphic Communications and all paperwork for the organization.
 Maintain the classroom attractive for students.
 Prepare test and maintain student files.
 Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
 Performs other related duties as assigned.

















EQUIPMENT USED:
 Typewriter, computer, printer, copier, fax machine, calculator, telephone.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
 Maintain emotional control under stress; repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer
