Job description

Summary

Title: Flexographic Printing Press Operatorย 

Description:

Acro Labels, Inc. is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. With a primary focus on serving the food industry, Acro Labels specializes in roll stock, pouches, re-sealable packaging.


We are looking for an experienced Printing Press Operatorย to join our Press team on the 7am-3:30pm shift Monday-Friday.ย

Typical duties of the Operator include:

  • Set up and runs press to meet customer specifications.
  • Make job changes, which include washing up press, changing cylinders, setting up ink pumps, and running jobs.
  • Running press at production speeds of Acro Label standards.
  • Perform quality checks.
  • Mix, tone, and adjust inks.
  • Maintains safe and orderly work area.
  • Directs assistant to make sure quality, production, minor maintenance, housekeeping, and safety needs are met
  • Complete production and waste reports.
  • Cleaning press, lubrication, and other miscellaneous items as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and /or Experience:

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of printing press experience on wide web flexographic presses for the Operator role.
  • Must be good with your hands and mechanically inclined.

Mathematical Skills:

  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.ย
