Printing Press Operator-Integrity Printing
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary /Objective
Prepares, runs, and maintains printing press equipment to create paper rolls used as coupons and advertisements on the backside of register receipts.
Essential Functions

  • Prepare, run, and maintain the printing presses.
  • Ensure operation of print equipment by following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Review job orders to determine quantities to be printed, paper specifications, colors, and special printing instructions.
  • Feed rolls through press cylinders and adjust equipment controls as necessary.
  • Collect and inspect random samples during print runs to identify any needed adjustments; identify methods to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency during press operations.
  • Assist with the preparation of pre-press materials and resources; ensure proper procedures are followed during pre-press process.
  • Meet and maintain quality requirements.
  • Expedite the prompt resolution of employee, vendor and customer problems, questions, concerns, and discrepancies. Notifies the appropriate personnel of situations that are beyond the scope of responsibility level.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This job operates in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to chemicals and materials related to printer press operation. This role routinely uses standard production and mechanized equipment such as printing press, hand tools, fork trucks, etc. This job requires employees to maintain a physical condition capable of bending, twisting, stepping up and down, standing and walking for long periods, and lifting items up to 75 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. This position is assigned either a day or evening shift. Overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
This position requires a negligible amount of travel, mainly between businesses.
