Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Prepress Technician to join our commercial printing operation. If you have a strong background in commercial print production, enjoy solving technical challenges, and take pride in producing high-quality work, we'd like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have experience preparing customer files for offset and digital printing, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and a strong understanding of commercial printing workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Preflight and prepare customer artwork for print production.
  • Verify files for proper page size, bleeds, trim, image resolution, fonts, color spaces, and print specifications.
  • Correct and optimize files to meet production requirements.
  • Create press-ready PDF files.
  • Create impositions for commercial printing jobs.
  • Process jobs through Fujifilm XMF Workflow.
  • Produce digital proofs for customer approval.
  • Work closely with customer service, sales, and pressroom personnel to ensure accurate job production.
  • Troubleshoot file and production issues to maintain quality and production schedules.
  • Maintain organized electronic job files and documentation.
  • Consistently meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including:

    • Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Offset and digital printing
    • CMYK and spot color printing
    • PDF/X standards
    • Color management
    • Typography
    • Bleeds, trim, and page layout
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
