Overview

Job Title: Print/Mail/Scan Production Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC

Job Type: Hourly Consultant

Pay: 18.84/hr

Two locations available

Raleigh NC 27603

5am – 2pm
Or
7am – 4pm

Raleigh, NC 27601

8am – 4:30pm, could change to 9 am to 5 pm

There may be a small amount of driving using your own personal vehicle, mileage is reimbursed.


Must have a valid driver's license and not more than one moving violation in the past three years.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate digital and color print equipment to produce high-volume business documents.

  • Prepare, print, sort, staple, hole punch, cut, laminate, and finish printed materials according to job specifications.

  • Load and manage various paper weights and sizes based on print requirements.

  • Operate finishing and mailroom equipment, including laminators, paper cutters, inserters, and related production equipment.

  • Review daily print job tickets and coordinate with the Print Shop Manager to review proofs before production.

  • Monitor print job queues, perform quality-control checks, and ensure completed work meets specifications.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on printers and other office/production equipment.

  • Assist with scanning, file preparation, archiving, and electronic file management.

  • Maintain organized production areas and move completed jobs and materials throughout the facility.

  • Maintain inventory of paper and production supplies and assist with supply ordering.

  • Provide professional customer service to clients and end-users and escalate issues as needed.

  • Support workflow optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs., push carts, and perform frequent bending, lifting, standing, and walking throughout the workday.

Skills:

  • Print shop experience with digital printing, laminating, cutting, hole punching, sorting, and finishing.

  • Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on various print and mail equipment.

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow print job specifications and production tickets.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to safely handle paper, supplies, carts, and production materials.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a print shop, mailroom, production environment, or related customer service role.

  • Experience operating commercial or office print equipment is required.

  • Experience with printing, laminating, hole punching, cutting, sorting, and finishing printed materials required.

  • Experience managing multiple print jobs and meeting production deadlines preferred.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Post-secondary training in technology, office administration, print production, or a related field is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
