Job description

Position: Printing Press Machine Helper

Location: Garner, NC

Pay: $18 to $20/hour

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in a sheet feeder, press helper, or similar role supporting press operations in printing, packaging, or related high-speed production settings is required.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with printing and packaging industry experience, is required.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Type: Full-time; Contract

Schedule: Night Shift, 5:30pm to 5:30am (3 times a week)


Greene Resources is seeking a Printing Press Machine Helper to join a growing and dynamic team! 


Job Description:

  • Assists the lead press operator with his/her duties, including: changing rolls on press, checking register (print alignment and quality), and “washing” (cleaning) press
  • Maintains the required operating production documentation
  • Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, and performs quality checks
  • Assists with equipment maintenance
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:   

  • Knowledge of basic math, including weights, measures, fractions, and decimals
  • Mechanical aptitude is required
  • Good visual acuity and color vision
  • Ability to walk, stand, or bend for 12 hours.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts, three days a week
  • Must be able to adhere to all safety rules
