Job Title: Printing Press OperatorJob DescriptionThe Print Press & Bindery Operator is responsible for operating printing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality print and digital products. This role ensures each job is completed on time, within specifications, and meets company quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Operate print and finishing equipment in accordance with established production standards and job specifications.
- Monitor quality, speed, and material usage to minimize waste and ensure output meets expectations.
- Review and interpret job tickets, following all instructions for layout, paper type, binding, and finishing requirements.
- Conduct in-process and final quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Communicate project status, delays, or concerns with the production team to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of machinery in accordance with company maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to safety procedures including forklift operation, lockout/tagout protocols, and hazardous communication standards.
- Participate in required training programs and contribute to a safe, organized work environment.
- Proactively identify and report equipment issues or production inefficiencies to team leaders.
