Job description

We are looking to grow the Jerry’s family in Sheldon, IA with an office manager. We are celebrating 47 years this year and have always kept the belief that our employees come first right next to the best customer service around. If you’re ready to join a team that wants to see everyone succeed and have fun while working hard, then we would love to talk.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares daily bank deposit and cash report.
  • Controls all posted documents, including vehicle deals, commissions and additions and changes to inventory.
  • Maintains an effective cash management system. Forecasts cash needs.
  • Controls petty cash amounts for dealership and sales department.
  • Reconciles select accounts monthly.
  • Prints monthly journals, schedules, and general ledger.
  • Prepare for month end and have everything completed by controller’s deadline.
  • Ensures compliance with all government regulations.
  • Complete all dealer trade documents.
  • Assist in preparing payroll on a timely basis including but not limited to sales commission and chargeback detail report.
  • Manages the payoff of vehicles and vehicle floorplan.
  • Compiles information and prepares reports as requested by management.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous dealership experience is strongly preferred.
  • Associate degree in office administration, management or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years working in accounting.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Great communicator both verbally and written.
  • Ford and/or Stellantis background preferred but not required.
