Job description

American Solutions for Business (ASB) is seeking an experienced Account Manager with a strong background in the print industry to support a high-volume retail client. This position is responsible for delivering quality and efficient support to sales associates while contributing to the growth of their business through strategic marketing support, product sourcing, and execution of complex print and promotional projects.
The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and provide a high level of customer service while managing multiple priorities.
Work location: Nashville, TN area
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated service support to assigned sales associates and their clients, including order intake, issue resolution, and ongoing communication to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Manage daily order processing, including accurate data entry of purchase and sales orders in accordance with program and client requirements
  • Obtain vendor quotes and source products for new and repeat business opportunities, ensuring competitive pricing and quality outcomes
  • Coordinate with vendors to place orders, confirm receipt, and ensure adherence to production schedules and delivery timelines
  • Track orders from production through delivery using workflow management systems, maintaining visibility and accountability across all stages
  • Review and verify order acknowledgements for accuracy, including specifications, pricing, and shipping dates
  • Communicate proactively with sales associates and clients regarding order status, estimated delivery timelines (ETA), and tracking information
  • Manage inventory-related processes, including documentation, product receipt coordination, and collaboration with inventory and support teams
  • Monitor and manage backorders, substitutions, and cancellations, ensuring timely communication with vendors and customers
  • Follow up on aged open orders and partner with vendors and internal teams to resolve delays or discrepancies
  • Support financial processes, including credit memo preparation, accounts receivable follow-up, and resolution of billing discrepancies such as short pays or overpayments
  • Utilize industry tools and resources to identify new product opportunities, support sourcing initiatives, and contribute to client presentations
  • Assist with reporting and analysis, including sales performance vs. projections, commission summaries, inventory tracking, and daily activity updates
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of ASB pricing practices and ensure accurate application across all orders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, sales partners, vendors, and clients to support long-term growth and client retention
  • Participate in account-related meetings and contribute insights to support ongoing account strategy and service improvements
  • Provide support across a broad range of print and promotional product solutions

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an account management, print production, or expanded services coordination role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of print production processes and promotional products
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel using VLOOKUP, pivot tables and formulas
  • Strong knowledge of print including posters, end caps, flyers, folders, magnets, et.
  • Experience managing inventory and large variable kitting projects
  • Direct mail with extensive mailing list management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, purchase orders, vouchers and invoices. Must be able to effectively write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with vendors, customers, fellow employees, management and Sales Associates of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
