Expeditor-Purchasing

$28.00-$32.00 per hour

1st shift

7:00am-3:30pm

Qps Employment Group has a great opportunity for an Expeditor-Purchasing position at a company in Cudahy, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Expeditor-Purchasing Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
  • Materials take-off from customer drawings.
  • Materials (steel) estimating.
  • Assist with quotes-quoting material.
  • Scan and file quote cards on new jobs.
  • Materials (steel) inventory.
  • Hardware & paint inventory.
  • Check material in and mark all material.
  • Create cutting lists from Drawing Bills of Material in Excel.
  • Work Instructions/Routing for Processes.
  • Template conversion from DXF/DWG to CNC Program.
  • Process job travelers โ€“ customer orders.
  • Create PO's in JobBoss.
  • Check part prints prior to ordering.
  • Vendor surveys/relationships.
  • Place orders with vendors.
  • Materials, Hardware, Paint, etc., procurement for customer jobs.
  • Cost comparisons and negotiations with vendors.
  • Update material prices per company's request.
  • Background in expediting and steel purchasing a plus.
Expeditor-Purchasing Requirements:
  • Auto Cad knowledge and experience for uploading data for burning table operations.
  • Able to use 2D AutoCAD 2020.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Office software (spreadsheets, e-mail, documents, etc.).
  • Strong math background.
  • Ability to work with others.
  • Knowledge of steel types.
  • Experience with JobBoss software preferred.
  • Experience with Shape Cutting Software (Plate/Sheet) โ€“ AutoCAD preferred.
