Production Manager – Manufacturing
Washington, IN | Direct Hire | Salary: Up to $80,000
Manufacturing experience is required.

First Call Direct Hire Professional Services Division is recruiting for an experienced Production Manager for a growing manufacturing company in Washington, Indiana. We are seeking a proven manufacturing leader with experience overseeing production operations, scheduling, inventory, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage production schedules, timelines, and work orders.
  • Ensure production goals are met while maintaining Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives.
  • Forecast demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Coordinate raw material planning and purchasing.
  • Monitor production performance and implement process improvements.
  • Partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Sales to ensure efficient production flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Support and enforce plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to improve manufacturing processes and scheduling.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing production, production scheduling, or manufacturing operations.
  • Previous manufacturing experience is required.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred
  • Automotive manufacturing, plastics injection molding, or extrusion experience.
  • Experience with APQP documentation and PPAP submissions.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing plant environment.
  • PPE required, including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and hearing protection.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
