We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Print Production Designer who will work with design teams for producing collateral, display, and print advertising projects.
We are looking for a team player who thrives in a deadline driven environment, who is very comfortable in a MAC OS environment and knows exactly what to do (or, when to ask questions) when receiving a request to “get the job out.” A fast learner, who thrives under instruction, is comfortable learning complex workflow routines, and has a sharp eye for detail and a great design sense.
This is a part-time temporary role.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following):
• Create/revise/develop new design layouts or re-size to fit new adaptations.
• Produce multiple versions of layouts and maintain all history of file revisions.
• Release materials: Cloud, FTP, or publications/newspapers portals.
• Prepare comps, mock-ups, and boards for internal meetings.
• Write/maintain process documentation as necessary; need to be a problem solver.
JOB REQUIREMENTS (include but are not limited to the following):
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field.
• 3 + years prior experience working for an advertising agency in a print production department, executing turn-key campaign resizes, expanding campaign assets and releasing files to printers.
• Must be proficient in Adobe CC, specifically: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro.
• Expert knowledge of typography, style guides and following brand standards.
• Knowledge of four-color printing and able to generate press-ready pdfs.
• Retouching (beauty, silhouettes and anatomical rebuilds), as well as newsprint color conversion is a plus.
• Must be able to multi-task, juggle shifting priorities, while maintaining workflow.
• Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills.
