To thrive as a Print Production Coordinator, you need strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a background in graphic arts or print production, often supported by a relevant degree or experience. Familiarity with print production software (such as Adobe Creative Suite), prepress processes, and print management systems is typically required. These products can include anything from mail promotions to sales collateral. Additional duties include preparing estimates and budgeting, scheduling packaging production phases with designers and suppliers, researching vendors and materials, developing mock-ups, presenting options, approving invoices, and maintaining accuracy on all art files. As this is a manager career, you work with graphic designers, artists, and advertising teams to create ads and act as the head quality control responsible for overseeing the entire print process.

What are some typical challenges faced by a print production coordinator, and how can they be managed?

Print Production Coordinators often face challenges such as tight deadlines, last-minute changes to project specifications, and managing communications between multiple stakeholders like designers, printers, and clients.
