Professionals in Print Pattern Design often face challenges such as balancing creative vision with client or brand guidelines, keeping up with rapidly changing fashion and design trends, and ensuring patterns work across various fabrics and products. Managing these challenges requires strong communication skills to understand and align with client expectations, as well as continuous learning to stay current with industry techniques and technologies. Collaboration with other designers, production teams, and sometimes overseas manufacturers is common, so adaptability and effective teamwork are vital. By anticipating production constraints and remaining flexible with their creative approach, pattern designers can deliver successful designs that are both innovative and commercially viable.

What is a Print Pattern Design job?

A Print Pattern Design job involves creating original patterns and designs for textiles, fashion, home decor, and other surfaces. Designers use hand-drawing techniques, digital software, and trend research to develop visually appealing and marketable patterns. They often collaborate with product developers, manufacturers, and brands to ensure designs align with production requirements and customer preferences. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and an understanding of color, composition, and fabric properties.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Print Pattern Design position, and why are they important?

To thrive in Print Pattern Design, you need a strong background in textile design, color theory, and surface pattern creation, typically supported by a relevant degree or portfolio of work. Job description

It\'s fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they\'re doing!

We\'re committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join LucyRx’s growing data team as we transition from an Oracle-centric environment to a modern cloud-based analytics platform. In the near term, this role will focus heavily on Oracle PL/SQL development, database optimization, and supporting migration efforts from our legacy Oracle systems. Over time, the scope will expand to include cloud data pipeline development, ELT/ETL engineering, and analytics enablement on Snowflake. This is an ideal opportunity for a data engineer with strong Oracle/SQL foundations who is eager to grow into a modern cloud data stack.

Role and Responsibilities

Oracle / PL/SQL — Near-Term Focus

  • Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views for Oracle databases
  • Perform query optimization, performance tuning, and database indexing to improve database efficiency
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes supporting data integration and reporting in Oracle environments
  • Support migration of Oracle databases to cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, or Azure SQL Database)
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with HIPAA and company standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in both on-premises and cloud environments
  • Maintain clear documentation for database processes, migration strategies, and coding standards

Data Engineering / Cloud — Evolving Scope

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration
  • Integrate data from Oracle, SQL Server, and external systems into Snowflake
  • Develop and maintain ELT/ETL processes using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools
  • Support and extend Fivetran ingestion and identify coverage gaps
  • Design and maintain data models in Snowflake using SQL and dbt (facts, dimensions, metrics)
  • Support BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI with performant, well-documented datasets
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, data testing, and validation across pipelines
  • Contribute to data governance, semantic layer development, and architectural decisions

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5–7 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or a related role
  • Strong Oracle PL/SQL skills — stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and views
  • Advanced SQL proficiency: complex joins, transformations, query optimization
  • Solid Python experience for scripting, automation, or pipeline development
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and development
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling preferred)
  • Experience with cloud data platforms or cloud database environments
  • Exposure to Oracle-to-cloud migration patterns or hybrid legacy/modern environments
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferences

  • Snowflake experience (modeling, query optimization)
  • Experience with dbt for transformation and data modeling
  • Experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tools
  • Familiarity with Oracle tools such as SQL*Loader, Data Pump, Oracle SQL Developer, or APEX
  • Experience with Oracle 12c/19c and advanced features
  • Exposure to SSIS or other legacy ETL tooling
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Healthcare, PBM, managed care, or other regulated industry experience
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices
  • Oracle certification a plus

Success Measures (First 6–12 Months)

  • Reliable, optimized PL/SQL codebase with clear documentation
  • Meaningful progress on Oracle-to-cloud migration initiatives
  • Reduction in manual ingestion and data handling processes
  • Standardized pipeline patterns and improved reliability
  • Increased data availability in Snowflake with clear separation from operational systems
  • Reduced discrepancies between reports and source systems
  • Documented data models with growing adoption across reporting teams
