Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Hours: M-F 8:30am-5:00pm with weekends and expected additional hours and overtime

Summary/Objective:
The Digital Print Manager is responsible for planning, strategizing the printing of all mail production, for managing the processes to ensure that all production procedures are efficient and enforced. Provides leadership to production supervisors, leads and employees creating a work environment that emphasizes productivity, quality controls, and teamwork.
Essential Functions:
  • Manage performance, goal setting, and performance improvement plans to provide feedback to supervisors, leads and employees.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot escalated production problems.
  • Understand all machine capabilities and work with members of management team to recommend machine changes and/or improvements.
  • Represent the Digital Print Department in CFT Meetings.
  • Prepare and conduct Weekly Department Meetings.
  • Maintain interdepartmental relationships.
  • Ensure all Digital Print employees are held accountable to the established quality procedures.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews, including corrective action when necessary. 
  • Coordinate and communicate with the Scheduler & Maintenance manager to schedule preventive maintenance, ensuring projects are being completed on-time. Adjusting production staffing as necessary.
  • Review, approve, and submit all Digital Print Department payroll timesheets.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors regarding the fulfillment of contractual maintenance agreements to ensure printing equipment meets expectations for up-time and performance.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing Department to order all Digital Print Department supplies to maintain an appropriate inventory level to meet production needs.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of monthly Digital Print Department inventory and printer counts.
  • Utilize ERP system to monitor department efficiency and on-time completion performance.
  • Coordinate with HR in regard to posting open Digital Print Department positions and conducting interviews during the hiring process to fill them.
  • Effectively use the quality control procedures monitoring quality of the final output.
  • Reviews schedule for jobs assigned daily, reporting issues back to Supervisor.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory/management experience in print or direct mail.
  • High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification.
  • Strong work ethic and quality of work.
  • Manage an organized, safe, and clean work area ensuring it is maintained.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with internal teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow all plant, department, and work area safety rules and operation procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the Digital Print Team
Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility
Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
Security Clearance: Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
