Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Senior Principal / Principal Technical Services Project Manager based in Sunnyvale, CA.

You will join Marine Systems as an individual contributor directing and managing activities associated with the Regional Strike Launcher Program Office.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. You have the ability to collaborate within and across teams to accomplish goals. You are committed to ethics, integrity, and innovation while challenging traditional ways of doing business. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are comfortable engaging with the internal and external customers.

What you will get to do:

  • Prepares project execution plan and coordinates activities between the customer, partners, and functional teams.

  • Coordinate program protection, classified infrastructure, and program processes for handling classified information.

  • Coordinate Customer and associated contractor information requests and technical information.

  • Oversees performance of projects or engagements and typically utilizes management skills and technical skills.

  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams.

This position may be filled at a level 3 (Principal) or level 4 (Sr. Principal) depending on candidate experience.

This opportunity is contingent upon Program award.

Basic Qualifications for the Principal Technical Services Manager:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, OR a Masters degree with 3 or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in Program/Project Management.

  • Experience working with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.).

  • An interim US Government secret clearance is required to start.

  • U.S. citizenship required.

Basic Qualifications for the Sr. Principal Technical Services Manager:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, OR a Masters degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in Program/Project Management and/or Risk Management.

  • Experience working with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.)

  • An interim US Government secret clearance is required to start.

  • U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Strategic, Conventional, and/or Regional Strike Launcher Subsystems.

  • Experience with US Navy Programs.

  • Experience with Microsoft system application and Agile project management tools.

  • Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership.

  • Experience with CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
