SUMMARY

  • Reports to the Payroll Supervisor.  Works in a team environment with Accounting, Tax, Audit, Human Resources, and Workers Compensation personnel and other departments.
  • The individual is to perform task necessary to process weekly payroll.
  • The employee is to provide a customer service with high level of respect, understanding and commitment to serve customers and/or suppliers with proper intentions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES

  • Assist payroll personnel with daily tasks.
  • Assist in performance and productivity affecting payroll goals and deadlines.
  • Reviews and audits Workforce AutoTime exception reports.
  • Provide customer service and/or perform administrative duties within the Payroll department.
  • Other responsibilities and duties assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiar with Payroll and/or an automated payroll system.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Customer service abilities.  Should be able to provide prompt and courteous responses to phone calls, emails inquiries, and in person visits.
  • Experience in timecard calculations.
  • Be able to work independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 
  • The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel objects, controls, and to talk and hear. 
  • Must be physically able to walk to all yard locations.
  • The noise level in this environment is usually moderate. 

ACCOUNTABILIY

  • Responsible for accurate and timely processing of assigned payroll transactions related to the above responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the development of an improved payroll processing flow.
